Diamond Ring Review

Jbrobinson took our ring examined it didn't record it and as a result we ended up paying for a diamond that fell out of the setting. They have to examine it every six months or the warranty is void. Make sure you get it in writing that you took your item in or they will *** as they did us. I will never buy anything from in ripoff again!!!

Diamonds Review

I felt like I was at a bad used car lot. Pressure city. Nobody knew what they were talking about. I asked the Mgr what the quality of the diamond was;he told me and was the corrected by the salesgirl who gave one pt less in quality. The MGR gave her a vicious look, but stuck with her number. No Thanks

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I called the Lansing Mall which is located in Lansing, Mi. I wanted to find out information about sending my ring in to get soldered and re-dipped. The man who answered the phone interrupted me before I finished speaking and said "2 weeks". I thanked him and he hung up on me. Now I understand another reason as to why there is NEVER anyone in their store. The times I have been in there, they bombard you with their sale tactics and it's very uncomfortable. I avoided that car salesman atmosphere and just made the call. Goes to show that they don't value customers that have previously purchased items from them. Those are the most valuable ones! I will never shop there again.

Diond wedding ring diamond chipped

They have had my wifes ring since June to repair a chipped diamond which shouldn't have chippeMmd anyhow..... Don't shop there. They suck. We have tried to talk to them but it's not helping. I have emailed them time and time again but no results. JB Robinson also said we didn't bring the ring in every six months which we did. They just didn't log it in. So I am telling everyone I know not to shop there. On top of having to wait months for a repair we now must pay to have it fixed. So now we have no ring for our anniversary. When we get the ring back we are going to sell it and shop at a real store......

Never shop at JB Robinson. The staff at Southland was rude to my wife and we have not heard one word on the status of her wedding ring repair.

Bad Service. Chipped Diamond

Ok. So yesterday was our 1st anniversary. We bought our rings at JB Robinson. During that year we took her ring in for cleanings and inspections. The people at jbr did not log us in per the agreement which says it must be inspected every six months. Now I know why they didn't log us in. The so called diamond chipped. So we take it to them. They say we have to pay to have it fixed because we never brought it in for inspection. That's ***. First of all it's a dumb policy. Second it's a *** diamond cuz it chipped. Who knows it's probably glass. Anyhow they have had it sincr early June. No ones contacted us or gave us any clue when it's to be done. Now we won't have it for our second honeymoon either. So don't shop at JBR. They totally suck and they sell junk.

JB Robinson Jewelers - Jewelry Warranty Review

JBRobinson will sell you jewlery and then sell you a warranty. If you dont bring your item in every 6months warranty is void. I bought my wifes wedding ring there. Taylor store in Southland. They're real nicd til thier junk jewlery has a problem. We took her ring in and they didn't log in that we were there so warranty was voided. The diamond chipped. What kind of diamond chips unless it's junk or glass. Anyhow now we have to pay to get it fixed and they have had her ring for more than 2 months.Sales people are rude and yes full of themselves. I wil never shop there again. Jb ripyouoff sucks.

You are a complete ***, sir. All diamonds chip or crack if hit in the right spot, it's basic high school physics. Just because you abuse your jewelry doesn't mean you can bash the jewelry itself.

My ring was purchased from JB Robinson way back in 1987 and recently I needed to replace two diamond chips on my ring and the prongs have broken with wear...not due to "abuse" just physical wear over time! Rings do need care over time and some rings need more care than others.

Now I've been told the ring needs to be completely rebuilt as the gold is wearing over the years. Rings do need care over time and some rings need more care than others.

I understand the confusion with the understanding that a diamond is considered to be the strongest gem, yet why are the chips breaking...yes, physics, but it is frustrating. If the person took the time to have the ring inspected and it was not noted...that is an office issue and should be waived if there is a history of inspections.

Good customer service goes a long way in long term sales.

Are you are a complete anonymous*** for writing such a rude response or simply responding with emotion? Think next time before you respond.

Do not assume that someone is "abusing" jewelry just because it needs service. You can convey the same "basic high school physics" information in a kind and informational manner other than bashing people who are having issues.

Review about Credit Card Application from North Haven, Connecticut

Jb Robinson only has an add in their help wanted so they can get a credit card application. U go through two interviews with them pretending to hire you. All they want is a credit app. Do not apply to this company. Manager was so full of himself.

CREDIT CARD SALES TACTIC

Be VERY aware when you are going to pay for your purchase and suddenly you have more than one sales personnel bombarding you with questions and handing you different papers to sign!NEVER GIVE them your social or ID number, they will begin to fill out a credit card application under your name, and sneak it for you to sign. It does not matter how many times you say no, they will attempt to deceive you into creating a store Credit Card just for a couple of hundred dollars in commission. Sales people do not care about you, your finances, or what happens AFTER you purchase their product. As long as they made a sale, that's all their hearts are set on.ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS COMMISSION! BE AWARE!!!

I work at a jbr, it is your responsibility to know what your signing for, but most of us won't do that because it is illegal! we care more about keeping our job than getting our app for the day, btw we don't get commission off of credit, nor do we really get ANY commission.

If you really feel that you were tricked into it, call customer relations, or just don't use your card because it is free to sign up and its only 3 points off your credit for 3 months, you should be fine! :)

Poor craftsmanship and care.

My fiancé ordered my ring from JB Robinson on May 11, 2013 and they told him that since it was a custom designed ring that it would take a few weeks to get it made and in the way that he wanted. He picked it up May 25, 2013 and ended up surprising me with the proposal on June 1, 2013 with our friends present. I had my ring for 4 days and took it in to JB Robinson to get it sized because it was slightly big. Since I was sending it away to get sized I decided that I would like it engraved with our initials in cursive. I watched the sales associate write the note and they sent it away. Two weeks later my ring comes back to the store and they call me to let me know it is ready to pick up. When I go in to get my ring, the engraving is in bold block letters (not cursive as requested) and there is yellow on my white gold band. Simply unacceptable; so we send it back. They have my ring for another week and call me again on June 25, 2013 to let me know that my ring is in once again. I look at the ring and you cannot even read the initials that I requested be engraved into my band. At this point I am upset and crying in the middle of the store because they have not only messed up my ring for the 2nd time, it needs to be sent out AGAIN. I picked out a new font for the initials and told them that the numbers were good and not to change them. The manager was able to push back our first payment at my request because we did not wish to make a payment on a ring that I didn’t even get to wear the first few weeks of our engagement. We still get to pay the extra interest. I get my ring back June 28, 2013 and they have changed my numbers, and there is a dent in my band from where they have engraved my band. At this point I have called it quits on getting any of my work done at JB Robinson. I took my ring and I have since gone to another jewelry store capable of doing work in their store. I had planned on buying our wedding bands at JB Robinson also, but have since changed my mind because of the poor craftsmanship and not so careful handling of my very expensive ring ($7100.00). I could not be any more disappointed in my experience and do not plan on ever going back to purchase jewelry from this store.

get your ring appraised by an independent appraiser.

It is important for an investment that big to be individually verified.

J. B. Robinson Jewelers Complaint: Scapped My Ring

My personal experience with J. B Robinson, Mentor, Ohio defies comprehension of a business that is supposedly selling “expressions of love and lasting memories.” In May 2008, I took my engagement ring (of 37 years marriage) to be reset in a new mounting. My original setting finally wore thin. My diamond came back in the new mounting/setting but my original engagement setting was not returned. Upon inquiry, J. B. Robinson, Mentor, Ohio confirmed that it had been scrapped! It was too late and irretrievably gone. My experience with J.B. Robinson Jewelers, Mentor, Ohio is that they acted in a totally irresponsible and irreparable manner. Their action with my original engagement setting defies sensitivity and responsibility toward their customers and the highly personal pieces of jewelry entrusted to them. J.B. Robinson’s actions with respect (or lack thereof) to my engagement ring setting were shabby. Throwing my original engagement setting into a scrape pile (to be melted down and reclaimed for their profit) only demonstrated to me that the best thing that could happen to this store is that it could be "scrapped!".

They should have compensated you for the cost of the gold band. I have bought several pieces of jewelry from JB Robinson.

I never had a problem with them until the last couple of years. I have an engagement ring and Anniversary band that has been out for repair since, June 1, 2016. The first time it came back, not all of the work had been done. They sent it out again.

I'm still waiting to get my ring back. Another problem. The laser inscription on my Leo diamond, miraculously disappeared off my diamond. Their excuse is that it wore off.

That is impossible. One, I never wear my Wedding set more then once a week. I don't wear it everyday. Two, a laser inscription should be deep enough that it's not going to wear off.

This is just my suspicion, I think the original inscribed diamond was removed. I paid over $15,000 for my Wedding set in 2013. I am very upset over this issue. Instead of replacing the Leo band with a new one that is laser inscribed, they have sent it ti I.G.I, to have the original laser number re-inscribed.

I'm surprised that I.G.I would inscribe a number without wanting to certify the ring. Irequested for the ring to be re-certified by I.G.I, so I know that my diamond is the original diamond I bought. The same color, clarity, cut and weight. I was told, No.

They only need to laser inscribe the original inscription. I will be taking myWedding set to a reputable jeweler, once I get it back, to have it inspected.

They know my Wedding set because they have checked it over several times for me because it's a gorgeous set and they love it. If what JB Robinson is telling me is different from what I am told by this reputable jeweler, I will be demanding JB Robinson make the appropriate corrections.

JBR is the bigges piece of *** business and have screwed me over one to many times! Thank god we have learned our lesson and will never buy there again.

Just disappointed that my wedding ring is from there and I have to go and have it inspected every 6 mo per our warranty or I would NEVER Step foot in that place again!

Stay away!! :(

I work at a JBR, I'm sorry to hear that something like this happened to you, I understand that sentimental value of rings is of upmost importance! at our store we would have never allowed something like this to happen!

good luck to you and I hope that you can look past it and maybe come to another location to give us a try! :grin just remember that if we send it out to our jewelers, its out of our control on what happens to it once it gets to a repair shop, so try not take it out on the sales people who helped you!

You are right that it was out of your control.

But, Out of your control doesn't mean its not your responsibility. If something happens to something you took in for repair, your store is legally liable for the damages.

Think about how this affects a person and how you would fix it.
